This position is for those knowledgeable about Catholic Social Teaching, and those interested in learning more. |

| PRE-CANA - Mentor Couples to work with Engaged Couples At St. Charles we prepare many couples for marriage and one of the options for an engaged couple is to work with a mentor couple. This is a lovely ministry for those who have been married for at least three years and are willing to share the blessings and challenges of marriage. |

| Liturgy Writers Needed Liturgy Writers prepare a presider's guide in outline format for Sunday and Holy Day Eucharistic Celebrations - the Mass. The liturgy writer needs to know the general outline of the Order of Mass, understand the church's liturgical calendar, and have good word-processing, e-mail and internet access skills. The liturgy based knowledge will be provided through a period of apprenticeship with an experienced Liturgy Writer. |

| Leaders Needed for 11 AM Children's
Liturgy of the Word Children's Liturgy of the Word is a special part of the 9 AM and 11 AM Sunday liturgy. It is usually held every Sunday from mid-Sept. to mid-May in the Chapel. Children from 3 years old are invited to hear the Word of God in a version of the Sunday scripture especially prepared by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and approved for children. Volunteers are needed to help coordinate this very special time. |

They work with the Flower Guild and other ministries to create settings and artistic tone for each main liturgical season. New individuals are required to attend Diocesan-sponsored training, usually held in April or May. |

Responsibilities include 3-4 hour training session, meetings with client over a six month period, assist client with future plans, including occupational and personal goals, and help them hone their life skills in securing employment, housing and new relationships. |
