Sacraments

A Sacrament is a visible sign, instituted by Christ, that gives grace.

Baptism

Newborns through Age 6

  • Preparation for Parents and Godparents: pre-registration required by calling the parish office at 703-527-5500. The class is usually the first Monday of the month in Benedict Hall, but see the parish calendar for details.
  • Celebration in English: 2nd and 4th Saturdays in English (see Celebrant's Schedule)
  • Celebration in Spanish: at the 1st Sunday Liturgy and 3rd Saturday in Spanish
First Communion / Eucharist Children preparing to receive these sacraments are enrolled either in Atrium or Grade-based catechesis. Children are required to have at least one full year of catechesis prior to the scholastic year during which they will receive the sacraments. more...
Confirmation Young people who desire to complete the initiation process into the Catholic Church through Confirmation are enrolled in On The Way (grades 7-8) or WAY (grades 9-12). more...

Reconciliation / Penance
  • Saturday 3:30 to 4:30 PM in the Chapel
  • Special Schedules during Lent and Advent
  • Anytime by appointment
Marriage (Matrimony) The preparation process must begin at least six months prior to the wedding. Pre-registration is required. more...
Holy Orders (Vocations) See the Arlington Diocese Office of Vocations.
Anointing of the Sick and Home Visitation: When requested. Contact the parish office at 703-527-5500.
The Circle of Caring offers support for the sick and homebound; grieving and bereavement support; and funeral planning.
