October 13, 2019

Dear Friends,

Each October the Church in the United States celebrates Respect Life Month, and the first Sunday of October is observed as Respect Life Sunday. As Catholics, we are called to cherish, defend, and protect those who are most vulnerable, from the beginning of life to its end, and at every point in between. During the month of October, the Church asks us to reflect more deeply on the dignity of every human life. Let us all continue to pray and work for the respect of every person, made by God in his image!

Join your fellow parishioners for dinner on any Sunday upstairs at Rockland’s BBQ (on Washington Blvd.), beginning at 7:15pm. All parishioners are welcome, and newcomers are especially encouraged to join. If convenient, feel free to park at St. Charles and walk to Rocklands (but keep in mind towing begins at 11:00pm). We hope you will enjoy this informal, fun and delicious way of getting to know your fellow parishioners and celebrating the Lord’s Day!

Fr. Dyer will be on his annual retreat this coming week, so please keep him and his intentions especially in your prayers during these days.

As we observe Columbus Day on Monday, the parish offices are closed (as they are on every Federal Holiday).  We wish those who are off a restful day, and those who work a peaceful, productive day!

I remain your servant in Christ Jesus,

Father Don
