Dear Friends,

Join us on Monday (7/29) at 7:00 P.M. in Benedict Hall for some wine and cheese and a talk by parish seminarian Joe Flaherty about how his pro-life work influenced his calling to the priesthood.  This inspiring event is sponsored by our dedicated parish Respect Life Committee.

Be sure to check out our newly-redesigned website, which is more user-friendly!  It’s the good work of our new Assistant for Evangelization & Communications, Bulay Miñano.  She’s really upped our game in terms of all media: “old” (print) media (like the bulletin and posters), and new media (website, social media, Flocknote, etc.).  You can stay connected with all the good things that are happening in our parish in these ways:

  • Subscribe to our Flocknote messaging lists:

    • The St. Charles Weekly Bulletin list, where you’ll receive an electronic version of our weekly bulletin

    • The St. Charles Alerts list, where we will send out timely updates, such as parish closings or Holy Day reminders

    • The St. Charles Challenge list, with tips and reminders on embracing the St. Charles Challenge

    • Once you join any of these lists, you’ll also receive a link inviting you to peruse other parish messaging groups that you can join.

  • Follow us on social media:  Instagram, Facebook and Twitter

  • It’s easy to stay current–simply go to our website and click the links to sign up:  www.stcharleschurch.org/connect

Summer often means a slower pace of life, more recreation and vacation–but be sure not to take a vacation from your vocation to be saint!  Encountering the Lord through daily prayer, Sunday Mass and frequent Confession should always remain the bases of our spiritual lives. When traveling, find local Mass and Confession times using this convenient website:  masstimes.org

Enjoy the Summer, and remember to put Jesus first!

I remain your servant in Christ Jesus,

Father Don
