Dear Friends, here’s what’s up this week:
Last week we wrapped up another preschool year, serving 170 children from 150 families. After a couple of weeks of break (and deep cleaning!) we will resume with preschool Summer camp. Thanks to our Preschool Director Amy Fry, to the staff, and to the families and children for a great year!
I wish everyone an enjoyable Memorial Day weekend, while I encourage you to pray for the repose of the souls of the members of our armed services who paid the ultimate price to ensure our freedoms, and for the consolation of their loved ones who mourn.
SUMMERTIME, AND THE LIVING IS EASY…
Summer often means a slower pace of life, more recreation and vacation–but be sure not to take a vacation from your vocation to be saint! Encountering the Lord through daily prayer, Sunday Mass and frequent Confession should always remain the bases of our spiritual lives. When traveling, find local Mass and Confession times using this convenient website: masstimes.org
Enjoy the Summer, and remember to put Jesus first!
The first two Saturdays in June mean ordinations for our diocese: next Saturday, June 2, five men will be ordained transitional deacons (for a year before priesthood), and on Saturday, June 9, three men will be ordained priests. Please keep all our seminarians and, especially, those to be ordained, in your prayers.
I remain, your servant in Christ Jesus,
