Former St. Charles parishioner Brian Francis, PhD, died on Monday, September 13, 2004, after a long struggle with multiple sclerosis.
He was born in Richmond, Virginia, on May 27, 1959. He enlisted with the Navy for 6 years, earned a Master's Degree from Vanderbilt University and a PhD from George Mason University. He was also an economist with the IRS.
Brian is survived by his parents Joseph P. and Mitzie D. Francis of Yorktown, Virginia; and his brother Jay Francis of Hampton, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at St. Charles on Monday, October 25, 2004 at 7 PM.

As a St. Charles parishioner, Brian was active with our young professionals' ministry, C'YA and with the Haiti Ministry.
