Congratulations to Fr. Clement who graduated May 17, 2008, with his Masters in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University. He will continue his studies over the next 2 years or so on his Ph.D.

St. Charles is joining with 41 other faith institutions in the area to become part of VOICE (Virginians Organized for Community Engagement). VOICE promotes issues important to northern Virginians and is a part of the Industrial Areas Foundation family, which has organized successful community projects in more than 60 cities. Right now, VOICE is choosing its agenda, but we need to hear from you about the issues important to North Virginians. American Catholic - Pope Benedict's U.S. Visit
See the Pope in DC: Popemobile Routes

April 16 - About noon - Holy Father leaves White House meeting President Bush at via East Executive Ave., travels west on Pennsylvania Ave. past Washington Circle, and then north on Rock Creek Parkway before exiting at Massachusetts Ave. for his 81st birthday lunch at the papal nunciature on Observatory Circle.

April 16 - 5:15 p.m. - Departs US Conference of Catholic Bishops headquarters at 3211 Fourth St. NE and heads north on Fourth St. to Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception to meet with 350 bishops. You can line route along the west side of Fourth Street and on Michigan Avenue near the Basilica, but the Basilica grounds are by ticket only.

April 17 - papal Mass at Nationals Park by ticket only

April 17 - About 6:15 p.m. - departs campus of The Catholic University of America through the south side of campus, north along the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, then north on Harewood Road to the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center where he will meet with representatives of other religions. Viewing along this route is by ticket primarily for the Catholic University community.
