"Proclaim liberty to captives."
How we love to spiritualize the Lord.
Oh, He is talking about sin
Psychologically speaking, addiction
Or educationally, ignorance;

Anything but the incarcerated,
The jailed, the detained,
Inmates in detention centers,
Residents in penal institutions,
The brig
And maximum security;

In plain English "prisoners."
Do we need to reinterpret Jesus,
In case He does not know
What He is talking about,
Releasing jail-birds?
