The Saint Charles Haiti Committee thanks the parishioners and friends whose support made it possible for hundreds of our young Haitian brothers and sisters to attend school last year. These children and their parents tell us that the opportunity to learn reading, writing and arithmetic is a dream come true.
For the 2004-2005 school year, St. Charles parishioners and friends supported more than 450 students. These students, whose families earn only a few hundred dollars a year, would not have been able to go to school without that help. These students want very much to continue their education next year and we are asking their sponsors to continue their support. We also have requests to support 80 additional students. That is where you can help. $100 is all it takes to become someone's American godparent.
