Elementary school students at Barrette School in the Cavaillon parish. These students are the ones sponsored by St. Charles parishioners. $100 a year pays the child’s tuition and buys uniforms, books, school supplies, and even shoes. 31 of the more than 200 students at the school have sponsors. Less than half the community’s children are able to attend school. The school’s director, Amazon is seated front row right. Longtime Haiti Committee members have known Amazon since he was a student in Cavaillon’s secondary school. Josephine Lee, Education Subcommittee chair, is next to Fr. Creedon.
