newspapers:
For all submissions, be sure to include who, what, where and when of
event and a contact name for more information. Material does not have to
be in "press release" format; often times the event flyer or
bulletin announcement will be adequate.
1. The Washington Post (daily)
Section: Weekly each 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month
Cir. Area: Arlington and Alexandria
Submission deadline: at least 10 days prior to the event.
Frequency: Will usually only run info about an event once.

Section:
- 1) Metro section: Community Bulletin Board each Tuesday.
- 2) possibly (depending on the event) the Entertainment section
each Friday.
Submission deadline: at least 10 days prior to event.
Frequency: Will list up to 2 times.

Section: Coming Events
Submission deadline: at least 10 days prior to publication Thursday.
Frequency: Usually twice.....perhaps three times if there is room.
