| Children preparing to receive these sacraments are enrolled either in Atrium or Grade-based catechesis. Children are required to have at least one full year of catechesis prior to the scholastic year during which they will receive the sacraments. | RCIA supports family centered initiation into the Catholic community for childrena and families. Family members join appropiate age groups for their main catechesis (RCIA, WAY, On The Way, Atrium, Grade-based, Catholic School, etc.). | Young people who desire to complete the initiation process into the Catholic Church through Confirmation are enrolled in On The Way (grades 7-8) or WAY (grades 9-12). | Rising seventh, eighth and ninth graders spend three days in July volunteering at local agencies that help the hungry, homeless, elderly and others with special needs. | High school students spend a week during the summer making repairs for residents who physically or financially are unable to make repairs on their own. | Parents of children to be baptized are required to attend a baptism preparation class in order that they might actively participate in the rite and be fully aware of their obligations. It is recommended that godparents also attend. The one hour class takes place in the Parish Library at 12:00 p.m. on the fourth Sunday of each month. | Rev. | Couples preparing to marry call the Parish Office and attend a Marriage Instruction session with other couples where the guidelines, questionnaire and program are outlined. Pre-registration to attend this session is required. Also, the Diocese requires that preparation begin at least six months prior to the wedding. Engaged couples then meet with a priest or deacon. In addition to Diocesan resources, the parish provides volunteer married couples who meet with the engaged couple to share experiences.
