Arlington County Walk 2008

We’re hoping to have a great group from St. Charles. The Walk Schedule:

8:00 AM - Registration at Arlington Forest United Methodist Church, 4701 Arlington Blvd., Arlington (Rt. 50 & Henderson)

8:15 AM - Opening Ceremonies, Safety Briefing

8:30 AM to 1:00 PM - 10K Walk (Return to Arlington Forest)

Check Points:
#1 St. George’s Episcopal Church, Clarendon
#2 Trinity Episcopal Church, off Columbia Pike near Walter Reed
#3 Arlington Forest Methodist Church

WALKERS: Bring the top page of your Sponsor Record (available at the Parish Office) with you to Arlington Forest. You will need to sign the waiver on the Sponsor Record. You can (and we hope you will) still get additional sponsors and donations after the Walk.

BE CAREFUL WHILE WALKING, especially at all street crossings (and most especially while crossing Arlington Boulevard (Route 50) and Fillmore St. at Columbia Pike). Stay on the sidewalks. Be considerate of others. ENJOY THE WALK!!

REST ROOMS AND REFRESHMENTS are available at the Check Points.

AFTER THE WALK – Please follow the instructions on the Sponsor Record for completing the form, and return it and all donations to your recruiter (that’s me) by November 1, 2008.

Yes, yes, yes! It is possible to walk on another date, if you have a conflict. Just be careful, let your sponsor(s) know, and enjoy your WALK!
