Week 3 Advent Prayer

Readings:
Isaiah 61:1-2, 10-11
1 Thessalonians 5:16-24
John 1:6-8, 19-28

Prayer:
Lord God,
may we your people,
who look forward to the birthday of Christ
experience the joy of salvation
and celebrate that feast with love and thanksgiving.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

Reflection:
It is natural to go to the Lord in need of His comfort during times of struggle. What are some ways I can rejoice in the Lord? What are some of the gifts in my life I can be joyful about?
