Week 2 Advent Prayer

Readings:
Isaiah 40: 1-5, 9-11
2 Peter 3:8-14
Mark 1:1-8

Prayer:
God of power and mercy,
open our hearts in welcome.
Remove the things that hinder us from receiving Christ with joy,
so that we may share his wisdom
and become one with him
when he comes in glory,
for he lives and reigns with you and teh Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.

Reflection:
"Make ready the way of the Lord, clear Him a straight path."
What in my life blocks the Lord's path to my heart. What obstacles prevent me from hearing His call?
