Presented by Eric and Debby West
Eric and Debby West reflected on the social and sacramental dimensions of Marriage, sharing their own experiences with family of origin issues, aging parental care, raising a family of boys, and their own relationship which survived some turbulent times. They are involved with the Retrouvaille program, which enables willing couples to seek and re-discover the spark in their marriage. At the outset, the Wests explained that marriage is a sacrament couples not only confer upon each other with others in the Body of Christ as witnesses, but that they also become the sacrament as they grow in their relationship and in their example to family, friends and neighbors. They pointed to the underlying foundation of this union as being a building block for the larger church and a place to practice, fail and reconcile within the Scriptural morality that we Catholics profess.
