Adult Education Series 4-Pack,
July 6, 2006
Presented by Catherine Heinhold
Catherine Heinhold, a Catholic Campus Minister at Georgetown University, talked for about 40 minutes about what the book and movie report to know about Jesus and what the Catholic tradition agrees with and what our tradition would disagree with in regards to these claims. Ms. Heinhold shared some of the diverse traditions of Gnosticism over the ages and the important distinctions between these traditions and those of Christianity.
Attendees were then invited to break into small groups to share their own reflection on the book and/or movie and what questions they may have had about their own faith. Ms. Heinhold then opened up the discussion from the small groups as the evening ended.
