Thanks to all who attended the Iftar Meal and Ramadan Conversation!! Over 60 people joined us to learn more about Ramadan and to share in the Iftar Meal.
Fasting during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan is the fourth of the five pillars of Islam. Each evening during Ramadan, Muslims end their dawn-to-dusk fast with a festive meal called Iftar. This year during Ramadan, St. Charles parishioners and Muslim guests will share an Iftar meal together in Benedict Hall. Imam Elsheikh of Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center will speak on the meaning of Ramadan, and guests will be invited to share their own thoughts and experiences.
St. Charles parishioners are encouraged to invite their Muslim friends, neighbors, and co-workers to attend this event with them. Donations to help cover the cost of the food will be accepted in advance from St. Charles parishioners only.
