Richard
G. Wohltman, Esq.
Richard
G. Wohltman has been in the private practice of law since 1977. He focuses his practice on Estate,
Retirement, Charitable Giving and Asset Protection Planning, Planning
for
Incapacity and the Administration of Trusts and Estates.
He also provides representation to business
owners and professional practices in the areas of business continuity
planning,
compensation and retirement planning. He
received his law degree from the Georgetown University
Law Center and
is admitted to practice law in Virginia, Maryland and the District of
Columbia. Mr.
Wohltman’s approach to estate planning focuses on a thorough
understanding of
each client’s financial and personal situation to ensure that the
client’s
personal goals, dreams, desires and needs are incorporated into the
design of
each plan. Mr. Wohltman’s estate plan’s
are comprehensive and provide for his clients during their lifetimes
and
protects their loved ones after death. He
believes that coordination and cooperation with his
clients’ entire
professional and financial team is the key to proper planning. Mr.
Wohltman is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys,
the
Washington Planned Giving Study Group and the Northern Virginia and
District of
Columbia Estate Planning Councils. In
addition,
Mr. Wohltman is a member of the Estates and Trusts Section of the
Virginia,
Maryland and District of Columbia Bar Associations, the Section of Real
Property, Probate and Trust Law of the American Bar Association, and
the Tax
Law Committee of the Alexandria Bar Association. Mr.
Wohltman is a frequent lecturer on Estate Planning and
related issues and is a contributing author of Ways and
Means; Maximizing The Value of Your Retirement Savings, a
book of practical answers to retirement planning questions from over
sixty
Retirement Planning Attorneys and Financial Advisors from around the
nation. Ways and Means was
