The Contemplative Way

From September to June 2003-2004
Second Tuesday of the month in the chapel,
7:30-9:00 PM beginning September 9, 2003

For those who wish to
slow down, stop the stress,
be open to God, and be peace in the world.

Expect to do practices of

  • Silence
  • Centering Prayer
  • Present Moment Mindfulness
  • Lectio Divina with the Scriptures
  • Guided Meditation
  • Breathing exercises


With input on the Mystics: St Theresa, John of the Cross and others for Spiritual growth in the Way of God's Love, and limited sharing.

Bring a journal.

December 9, 2003 - God with us
January 13, 2004 - Gift
February 10 - Loving
March 9 - Sacrifice
April 13 -New Life
May 11 - New Spirit
June 8 - Sabbath fun

Led by Jean Sweeney, Spiritual Director, Pastoral Counselor at St. Charles
$10 a session, or $80 for the nine September-June sessions.
