"They recognized him in the breaking of the bread" is an Easter theme. Pope John Paul II declared a Year of the Eucharist in 2005 before he died. The First Communion celebrations we are preparing are an occasion for the whole Parish to renew our understanding and devotion to the Bread of Life.
