The 6th Annual Remembrance Mass was held on a warm, pleasant evening Nov 3, 2004. Approximately 125 parishioners, family members and friends were in attendance at the Mass concelebrated bilingually in Spanish and English by Rev. Gerry Creedon and Rev. Jack O'Hara. Permanent posterboard plaques of parishioners buried from St. Charles from the 5 previous Remembrance Masses were placed around the baptismal font for viewing. The many candles lit in front of the altar in remembrance of those who died and were buried from our parish as well as many others remembered by parishioners cast a warm light upon all. At the conclusion of the Mass, Fr. O'Hara reflected on how, like this light, Christ and the souls of these faithful cast a light on our spiritual lives.

Those buried from St. Charles were memorialized on a plaque to the side of the altar at the Mass include:

Frances Otis Daly
Joyce Dean Neal Edmonds
Harry J.P. Everly
Brian Desher Francis
Patricia Ann Gleason Fairbanks
Mary B. Gilbride
Patrick B. Healy

Eva Moore Hurt
Claude LaPlagne

John V. McKernan
Louise A. Montavon
Helen Elizabeth Naber
Robert Aponte North

A reception sponsored by the Hospitality Ministry took place in Benedict Hall, following the Remembrance Mass. It, too, was well attended by over 75 people including Fathers Creedon and O'Hara. Meaningful sharing occurred among those who attended.

Each life is a gift from God.
Let us remember those who have touched our lives.
Let us celebrate them together.
