Marriage Enrichment Day

2:00 - 4:30 PM: Kickoff with an engaging discussion of your vocation as a married person.

• Session # 1 - Family of Origin and Beyond: Where do we go from here?
  Often we blame our spouse for what really comes from the years before marriage. During this session we will look at the healthy and unhealthy aspects of our family of origin as a means of establishing a model for building a stable marital relationship.
• Session # 2 - Couples' Conflict Management: ways to avoid hitting below the belt-or wearing the belt around your neck.
  A conflict management model will be presented using listening skills, dialogue and discussion to manage the inevitable conflict that arises in every intimate marriage relationship.
• Child Care and Children's Valentine's Day Party
  for children of participants is provided from 2PM to 8:30 PM, including during Mass. Registration is required for proper planning of children's activities by professional babysitters.
  Please bring a sippy cup, favorite toy, diapers and change of clothes (for your children) and make sure all items are labelled. Graham crackers and juice will be served to children as a snack. If needed, please bring a sleeping mat or portacrib for your child.
  

5 PM: Families together for Mass with renewal of vows!

6 PM St. Valentine's Day Reception - All are welcome; no registration is required for this portion of the day.
Enjoy the romantic mandolin of Fr. Creedon weaving among the couples. Food will include hors d'ouevres, chicken, pasta, salad and rolls. A movie will be shown for children.

ALL ARE WELCOME
including Catholic, non-Catholic and interfaith marriages
and anyone interested in marriage or in the support of married couples.

Registration is $5.00 per family.
Pre-registration needed in-order to plan for number of people attending practical sessions and children's activities.
Registration is also accepted at the door.
