As part of the parish Senior Services activities, our Pastor Fr. Gerry Creedon hosted another "Tea with the Pastor" on Ash Wednesday in the Parish Library. These teas are typically held on Holy Days after Mass.
Father Creedon gave a fine talk on Lent and reconciliation, and JoAnne McGlinchy's kindergarten class danced to African music for us and sang love songs to God. There were about 30 seniors there, from the local senior homes and the community at large. We were given great volunteer support with driving, purchasing and serving food, and cleaning up. We hope to repeat the success of this lunch around Saint Patrick's Day in March, this time in our new community center!
