Representatives from Community Life Ministries at St. Charles gathered for an Advent supper to celebrate their successes, pray together in Advent anticipation of Christ's coming at Christmas and to share a meal together. Milt Werthmann, Jean Sweeney, Fr. Gerry Creedon and Fr. Jack O'Hara spoke at the event that included more than 50 volunteers. Jean conducted an informal poll to ask how long the attendees had been Community Life volunteers. After seeing a healthy mix of veteran and new volunteers, Jean said that indicated we were doing what we were supposed to do--attracting new volunteers and continuing to build our ranks as we build the kingdom of God. |
