The parish's Web Team, the group responsible for St. Charles' onine presence, celebrated four years on the Web at their meeting on June 18, 2002. Reviewing the past year, the Web Team gave themselves a B+ or an A- as an overall grade. They achieved a lot, but there's more to do to meet the 'Net needs of a growing parish. Fr. Creedon's homilies are among the most popular features added to the site this year. Through a partnership between Liturgy (volunteers transcribers Pam Michalegko and Ellen Holloway) and the Web Team, our pastor's homilies are transcribed from a recording, reviewed, approved and then posted online. The parish website also played a key role in sharing news in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. When an impromptu Mass was set for a few days later, the fastest way to inform parishioners was through the website and subsequent emails. |
