C'YA in the Sun

C'YA spent Memorial Day together at co-chair Stacy Lucas' house, enjoying food and games, including a make-your-own-rules version of bocci. Let's just say this was one sport which is not going to get on ESPN. A month-long stretch of cold, rainy weather was interrupted just long enough for a picnic under warm, pleasant skies. Not satisfied with a single day of fun in the sun, C'YA got together again on June 29 for a picnic at the home of sports-events coordinator Jennifer Choiniere. About 30 people showed up again. We enjoyed Jenn's special bleu-cheese burgers, frisbee, bocci, and a split in a volleyball doubleheader. The team that won the first game with a stunning come-from-behind victory just never gained their focus in the second game. We'd blame it on the beer, but no-one really had had that much at that point.

Later, when the crowd thinned out a little, we moved on to '70's music (?!), limbo and "star spinning." (Don't ask!)
