Parish Goal #1. To build community in the light of Christ.

b. To foster hospitality on a parish level by strengthening existing events and by developing new ones.

  3. To provide opportunities for members of Neighborhood F to participate more fully in parish life.

c. To recognize and celebrate the cultural heritages of our parishioners by promoting events such as Our Lady of Guadalupe and providing for bilingual advertising of events.

  7. To sponsor at least one event during the year that brings together youth and their parents.

d. To report on “best practices” in planning by ministries and neighborhoods.

  1. To enhance planning of future events by providing a feedback mechanism at most events to assess parish interest and benefit from CAFÉ efforts; share this information with the parish, such as through testimonials.
  2. To ensure that Team Gathering members will visit each Gathering group once to show support; to learn and share ideas.

Parish Goal #7. To strengthen the link between faith, justice and daily life.

a. To integrate faith and justice issues in parish plans and activities.

  1. To continue the commitment to Borromeo Housing through the Christmas Party and to the homebound community through Christmas and Easter flower deliveries and St. Valentine’s day homemade card deliveries.

  3. To enhance coordination of Social Justice activities with other groups working within the parish with similar interests.

b. To foster spirituality for the workplace through outreach to workers in the vicinity of St. Charles (perhaps by adding a daily noon Mass after Lent 2000).

  1. To provide one or two retreats/quiet nights/song nights this year to foster spiritual growth and reflection for the young adults of the parish.

  4. To sponsor a several-week session for the parish using the Praying Alone and Together books as a way to welcome new parishioners and to find new leadership.
