Planning
As previously reported, the Parish Center Executive Committee and Ambassadors Group, who represent the various elements of Parish life, have held extensive meetings with Michael T. Foster of MTFA Architecture, Inc. Together preliminary plans have been developed for both the interior and exterior designs of the Parish Center. This group has reached a consensus of what those plans should be. Next weekend, (June 23-24) we expect to share those plans with you at all of the Masses. Presentations will be made by Father Creedon, Michael Foster, and Mimi Fitzgerald of the Parish, outlining the plans and where we go from here. We are at a critical juncture of our planning. We hope that once you see these designs, you will become as excited as those of us who have been working so hard to develop them and you will see that the Parish Center is becoming a reality!
Funding
To date, 776 Parish households and friends of St. Charles have participated in the Capital Campaign. They have pledged/contributed $2,374,562,04. That is almost half of the estimated $4.68 million cost. $1,299,532.26 has actually been paid. However, those 776 households represent less than one-third of our registered parishioners. We need all of you to participate if this Parish Center is to become a reality. It is going to take generosity of spirit and resources to help us move forward. We look forward to sharing these plans with you next weekend. In the meantime, those of you who have not made a financial commitment to the Campaign, please take time this week to look at your resources and determine at what level of sacrifice you might participate. To those of you who are already participating in the campaign, our heartfelt thanks. Your faith and continuing generosity are the bedrock of our efforts. If we all join together and participate we can definitely continue to Build the Spirit at St. Charles.
