Build the Spirit: Capital Fund Campaign · Newsletter #4 (Apr. 29/30, 2000)

Good News, Allelulia!
Pledges Now Exceed $1.2 Million!

As we enter the Great Fifty Days of Easter and begin the main phase of our Build the Spirit campaign, we have passed the $1.2 million point in pledges toward our $2.5 million goal. This is great news!

As Bishop Loverde announced at Christmas, we are moving ahead with plans to build the Parish Community Center (including a large social hall, gymnasium and meeting rooms) and to improve space utilization in the School, Rectory and Convent. This campaign will fund these needed improvements, thus better equipping us for ministry to the parish and community.

We now turn our attention to the 400-plus volunteers who completed Volunteer Cards early in February. Those who offered to assist as a Telephone Committee Member, Reception Host or Home Visitor, have been invited to attend one of the following two Volunteer Orientation Meetings:

Orientation Meeting for Campaign Volunteers

Thursday, May 4 & Monday, May 8
7:30 - 9:00 p.m. in the School Cafeteria

We will explain the project and then answer questions. If you wish to volunteer but aren’t sure of what’s expected, come to this meeting and find out! Please call the Campaign Office (703-527-5500 x 26) by Tuesday, May 2 to let us know which meeting you can attend.

A reminder: all who received campaign materials in the early (Named Gifts) phase are encouraged to return their pledge form as soon as possible. Remember – since some Named Gift Opportunities have been taken, please contact the Campaign Administrator, Jane McCarthy, at 703-527-5500 x 26 to make certain that your selection is still available. Please return your form in the confidential envelope by mail or in person to the Parish Office, or place it in the regular collection at Mass. Please remember to make checks payable to St. Charles Capital Campaign. Thank you.
