Talk: "Bridges to the Island of Misfit Toys"
Speaker: Sr. Constance Veit, Little Sisters of the Poor
Benedict Hall, St. Charles Catholic Church

Sr. Constance Veit, LSP, with her Little Sisters of the Poor, has fought tirelessly for religious freedom. As the Little Sisters’ U.S. communications director, Sr. Constance has been on the forefront of her community’s legal battle with the federal government. Join Sr. Constance for this difficult but important discussion, brought to you by the St. Charles Respect Life Team, that will examine current assisted suicide issues sweeping the country. Sr. Constance will consider ways that we as Catholics can combat the culture of death by learning how to accompany people in their times of need.

About the Speaker: Sr. Constance has been a Little Sister of the Poor for 29 years. Prior to entering the community, she earned a degree in occupational therapy from Boston University. In 2012, she completed a master’s degree in health care administration/Catholic health care leadership from St. Joseph’s College of Maine. She currently oversees the community’s publications and web presence for their 27 U.S. homes for the elderly. Sr. Constance blogs at www.littlesistersofthepoor.org/sisters-blog.
