halleluja!

Dear Members of St. Charles,

This Easter we welcomed 35 as new members of the church through baptism and the sacraments of initiation. May they find the Risen Lord among us.

This weekend, we ask you to nominate new members to the Parish Council. Neighborhoods C, D and F have been well served by Regina Trodden, John Teem and Maggie Jones. They have organized and strengthened their neighborhoods. We hope we will find other willing hands to continue their work. You may nominate yourself or another. Forms are available in the bulletin that you may return to the Parish Office or with next week’s collection.

It is not too late to return your PARISH SURVEY! We need the ideas of all as we plan our future.

Thanks so much for your generous giving at Lent and Easter. You help us to reach out with Easter hope in our community and beyond.

Alleluia!

Rev. Gerry Creedon

MASS AND RECEPTION WITH BISHOP LOVERDE

Since so few of our parishioners were able to attend Bishop Loverde’s Installation Mass and because Bishop Loverde desires to meet the people of the Diocese, he has scheduled a Mass followed by a reception. Accordingly, on Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at 7:30 PM, all are invited to a Mass at St. James Church in Falls Church.

NEIGHBORHOOD F HOMEWORK CLUB

Neighborhood F is considering the possibility of establishing a parish homework club. Do you have school age children who could benefit from a structured homework club one or two times a week? Do you enjoy working with children? Teenagers, would you like to get involved? Please consider giving your time and talent to the club. To sign up as a volunteer and for additional information, please contact Karen Audant, 528-7413, kpaudant@dc.net.

SPONSOR OF THE WEEK: Our special thanks to Washington Theological Union for supporting our Parish.
