Baptism of the Lord
FROM THE PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
One of the many ways we can celebrate the freedoms of America is to
exercise our right to communicate with our state legislators. As Catholics,
it is especially important when looking at the voiceless, the poor,
and the marginalized. Monday, January 28 is Catholic
Advocacy Day in Richmond. I will be joining Bishop Loverde and Bishop
DiLorenzo of Richmond, and many other voices as we visit our Virginia
legislators. St. Charles has a great reputation of standing up for what
we believe in. Come and join us on the bus. Sign up after Masses this
weekend.
I also urge you to join the Virginia Catholic Conference by visiting
www.vacatholic.org.
Our parish Advocacy committee does a great job at keeping the rest
of us informed as to what are the current and important issues. You
can join their email list by sending
a blank email to StChasSJ-subscribe@topica.com.
I look forward to hearing from our parishioners who celebrate the blessing
as well as learning through the challenges of interfaith marriage. See
you at Conversations with Creedon tonight after the 6 PM Mass.
Feel the Spirit,

Gerry Creedon
