Third Sunday of Lent
FROM THE PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
This coming week all are invited to celebrate St. Patrick. On Monday,
March 12, at 7:30pm I will preside at the Annual Gaelic Mass followed
by a reception. The Saturday evening Mass at 5pm on March 17 will include
elements of Irish culture and will lead to a St Patrick's Day Party
in the Parish Center with music, song and dance. Come and join the fun.
St Patrick is known for his prayer. "Christ be before me, Christ
be behind me..." is his breastplate. Let us seek out ways of strengthening
our prayer life, such as Thursday evening stations of the cross, during
this season of spiritual renewal.Dia is Muire Dhibh agus Padraig! (Common
Irish greeting; "God and Mary and Patrick be with you")
Peace,
Gearoid Padraig O Criodain, Gerry Creedon

MOST POPULAR PARISH WEBPAGES IN FEBRUARY
The start of Lent drove loads of visitors to St. Charles both the building
and the website, www.stcharleschurch.org. Average site traffic in February
was 564 daily visits, up sharply from January's level of 434. The Lent
page shot up to the number two spot of most popular pages, behind
the calendar at number one. The celebrant's
schedule, home page and house
blessing rounded out the top five. The most popular ministries?
RCIA (for those joining the faith),
C'YA (young adults), Landings
(returning Catholics) and the Marriage
Ministry, which beat out Praise
& Worship by a single visit. Every trip to the site counts so
visit early and often.
