Twenty-ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time
FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
Thanks to all who made Oktoberfest 2006 a success! This feast builds
community while supporting our Parish School.
Thanks to the Parish Finance Committee for their report
to the parish on Stewardship Sunday. A copy was contained in the
bulletin, and may be found on the Website or Parish Office. Our monthly
Finance Committee is also open to any parish member with queries. It
is my desire that our parish management be transparent and accountable.
As the report makes clear, the parish finances are healthy. Yet we
are aware that many of our parish facilities are 60 years old. We have
commissioned a study of our buildings and anticipate a long range strategic
plan that will place new demands on our resources. I have decided to
renew my personal pledge to the Building Fund since my original pledge
to the "Build the Spirit" Campaign has been completed. Thanks
to all of you for your generous support to St. Charles and I ask for
your continuing sacrifice.
Come join me on the evening of Nov 5 for a Conversation with Moslem
and Jewish leaders on "Building Interfaith Understanding through
Community Involvement."
Feel the Spirit!
