SUPPORT ST.CHARLES SCHOOL
It's time to re-designate your favorite parish school as the recipient
of donations from your favorite local store! St. Charles participates
with Giant Bonus Bucks #2192, and Harris Teeter "Together in Education"
#4745. Both stores require you to re-designate NOW! Purchases made from
Land's End can also be "linked" to the school using #9000-4883-6.
Retail rebate programs like these earn cash for our school (over $1500
last year!) and do not cost you a cent! Please remember St. Charles
School in upcoming United Way and Combined Federal Campaigns by designating
#8743 for your donations. As always, thank you for your continuing support
of our Parish School!

- Last Week's Collection (Sunday, September 17, 2006) was $25,277.50
- Last Week's Tithe of $$2,325.53 was for the Arlington Food Assistance
Center (AFAC).
- This Week's Tithe is for our Sister Parishes in Haiti.
- This Week's 2nd Collection is for the Catholic University.
- Next Week's Tithe is for Catholics for Housing (CFH). CFH makes
decent housing a possibility for many of the low-income workers in
our community. Your tithe supports their efforts.
- Next Week's 2nd Collection is for the Building Fund/Debt Reduction.
Your contribution to our Building Fund will help to enable the Parish
to reduce the debt to the Diocese for our Parish Community Center.
It also will help us to maintain and repair our aging facilities.

Engaged Couple Mentoring
Program
St. Charles's own Couple Mentoring Program (CMP), an integral part of
the parish's Pre-Cana program, has been shepherding engaged couples
on their journey towards greater love and commitment to each other and
to God for several years now. To celebrate our success in the program
- and in building of relationship - we will gather with our "seasoned"
Mentors in fellowship and support. If you have been married for at least
3 years and want to have the enriching experience of supporting an engaged
couple to prepare for the Sacrament of Matrimony, this may be your calling!
Please come and learn more about this ministry and the special couples
who are involved! See reverse for more info.
Newlywed Support and Gatherings
For some time now there's been an "open spot" at St. Charles
for a special group of parishioners to have their own association: couples
newly married (within the past 5 years). This special time of growth
in relationship and marital challenge would benefit from the support
and fellowship of other newly married couples in our parish. Dubbed
NEW CANA, this new group at St. Charles needs a kick-off team to get
the ball rolling. All newlywed "graduates" of Catholic Engaged
Encounter, Conferences for the Engaged, and the Couple Mentoring Program
are most welcome. We look forward to a wonderful fall kickoff get-together!
