12th Sunday in Ordinary Time
FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
Fr. Bob Avella has assisted us over the past year with the 5pm Mass.
He has been assigned pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes. I take this opportunity
to thank him for his service to his home parish, where he was schooled
and raised, and wish him God's blessings in his new mission. We also
thank Fr. Bill Quigley for his outreach through our prison ministry.
The residents of Arlington Detention Center benefited from his loving
concern. We also wish him "God Speed" in his ministry. Frs.
Kevin Fimian and Jamie Workman served here as seminarians and have been
assigned as new priests to St. Agnes and Blessed Sacrament respectively.
May we join these priests in a renewed commitment to our shared work
for the Kingdom.

NOTE TO MINISTRIES
Please submit your FY 07meeting and room reservations for our parish
calendar. Good planning helps us all! Thanks!
Today we hear the story from Mark's Gospel about the storm at sea.
Jesus calms the sea and asks, "Why are you terrified? Do you not
yet have faith?" Our prayer each day this week can be "Dear
Lord, I'm going to be facing several things today that feel like storms
at sea. Don't let me lose sight of your presence with me today. Give
me courage and an inner peace to do what you call me to do."
