Fourth Sunday of Easter
FROM THE PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
Congratulations Sister Benedict on your Golden Anniversary! It was
a joyous, faith affirming occasion for all. I thank the anniversary
committee for their excellent preparations. I also thank the Filipino
and Latin American Communities for the festivities they provided.
All are welcome this Sunday at 7 pm for my Conversation on the Circle
of Caring with Peter Dirr; facing the end in the light of Easter.

Join our Pastor Fr. Gerry Creedon for his monthly "Conversation With
Creedon". This month he welcomes Peter Dirr for the topic of: Facing the
End: Easter Reflections on Life and Death. Peter is the Coordinator of our parish
outreach to many in need including those dying, those walking with the dying,
and those grieving.
WALK FOR LIFE
Support Catholic Charities Children's Services: Crisis Pregnancy Counseling,
Foster Care and Adoption. Sat 5/20, 2006 at Fort Hunt Park, Area A,

BORROMEO HOUSING'S ANNUAL EVENT MAY 20
Borromeo Housing will hold its annual event to benefit Elizabeth House,
a two-year shelter and development program for homeless young women
and their babies, on May 20 from 6pm to 10pm in Benedict Hall. Tickets
are $15 each and include admission, food, and childcare. The event will
feature dancing, a silent and live auction and music by local jazz band,
the Kevin Jefferson Quartet. Please contact Joy Meyers at 703-841-0139

YOUTH TRIP TO KING'S DOMINION
All high-school aged youth are invited to join the St. Charles WAY Group
on Sunday May 21 when we go to Kings Dominion. We will meet at the 9:00

BEGINNINGS & BEYOND
The North American Forum on the Catechumenate is hosting their week-long
workshop on implementing the full Catholic initiation process within
a parish at the Washington Theological Union. All involved in liturgical
and catechetical ministry are encouraged to attend. For more information:

Worship, while sponsored by Young Adults, is open to the entire community,
