Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
We celebrate this great Mary feast today. It's a feast of friendship
also-Mary and Elizabeth.
Elizabeth says "Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken
to you by the Lord would be fulfilled." Perhaps we can recognize
the Christ in one another, and encourage the bringing of this Christ-life
to birth in our everyday world. Mary is a model of discipleship for
us. Can you read her wonderful response as a disciple with her? Try
it in today's Gospel. (Luke 1:39-56).
Don't forget our receptions for Fr. Francisco Sunday. Join us in the
afternoon (lunch at 2:00 PM, and our program at 3:00 PM in celebration
of him). And check the bulletin and the web for opportunities to join
us in ministry. God take us as we are and use us for the reign of God.
PLEASE REMEMBER
to turn OFF your cell phone and/or beeper while attending Mass!
Your fellow parishioners will appreciate your consideration.
that equipment for those who are hearing impaired is available
upon request from an usher.

Cuba. "We believe the goals of improving the lot of the Cuban people
and encouraging the democratization of the governance of Cuba are best
accomplished through more rather than less contact between the Cuban
and American peoples," said Bishop John H. Ricard of Pensacola-Tallahasse,
