from the pastor...
FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK

Dear St. Charles Parishioners,

I thank all of you who made the concerts for Borromeo Housing and the Philippine Medical Mission such a success. Raising substantial financial support while enjoying food, music and sociability were highlights of the past weekend. Thanks to all who organized and participated. Congratulations also to our Youth for their successful Basketball evening to support workcamp.

Jean Sweeney will be my guest in the Conversations with Creedon series as we discuss; "How to pray?" We will meet in Benedict Hall on Sunday June 6 after the 6 PM Mass.

Blessing to all our May and June nuptials!

Peace,

Pray for Peace,

Rev. Gerry Creedon

A GOOD FUNDRAISING WEEKEND!
The social justice ministry was very pleased this weekend to see the variety of successes going on: the tithe for Project Lazarus bringing in over $1,500 for emergency aid to the poor for May. The party for our Borromeo Housing, Inc. mother's shelter, Elizabeth House, brought in a whole slew of new support for their work, thanks to the generosity and talent of guitarist Bill Kirchen. Finally, the Philippine Medical Mission's concert at Clarendon Grill brought in over $2,500 in one night for their new shelter project, not to mention their collections at St. Charles! The support in this parish for the less fortunate is a huge blessing: God be praised!

RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY
That the Holy Spirit will enkindle in the hearts of all Christians a great zeal to defend God's precious gift of human life; We pray to the Lord:
