Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
On the afternoon of May 15, St. Charles hosts a workshop for ministry
leaders in the afternoon, a special liturgy focused on commitment at
5 PM and an Appreciation Dinner
for ALL volunteers following. If you plan on joining us for supper,
please call the office at 703-527-5500.
Rev. Doug Morrison will be our guest speaker. He has expertise in
parish development, clinical pastoral education and group leadership.
The Easter season is an ideal time to renew our energies and deepen
our enthusiasm. Come join us!
BAPTISMAL PREPARATION
Baptismal instruction in English will be offered on Wednesday May 12,
at 7:00 PM in the Parish Library. To register please call the Parish
Office, at 703-527-5500.
Pastoral counseling if you're looking for a safe place to explore troubling
issues. Fr. Emmanuel and Carl have openings. For more information please

PARKING
PLEASE NOTE that parking will no longer be allowed at Red Top Cab.
Please DO NOT park in their lot. Also, Midas (across the street from
the Church on Washington Blvd.) allows parking on Sunday until 7:30
PM ONLY! Cars will be towed after 7:30 PM and on any other day.

SOCIAL JUSTICE NEWS
At our Latino social justice talk May 16, we will be discussing driver's
licenses and the problems in getting them. We will have representatives
available to discuss you options from 2:30-3:30 PM in the Church.

The Respect Life Committee will meet on Wednesday, May 12th at 7:30

ARE YOU REGISTERED? If you plan to be a godparent for a Baptism, a sponsor
for confirmation, or to be married in a Catholic Church, you MUST be
a registered parishioners for a minimum of three (3) months! The Church
can not vouch for you if we do not have any information about your participation
in the parish. Stop by Parish Office to register.
HAVE YOU MOVED?
If you are a registered parishioner and have recently relocated, please
notify the Parish Office, in writing, of the change. The Post Office
often returns to us correspondence and offertory envelopes that are
undeliverable because of an address change. The parish is also charged
.070 for each returned item.

will be engaged in a ministry process facilitated by Fr. Doug Morrison.

and at our ministry appreciation

TAKE THE ANNUAL PARISH WEB SURVEY
Your parish website, StCharlesChurch.org, celebrates its sixth anniversary
next month. To help mark this event, please take our annual survey of
our website visitors. We want the opinions of as broad a cross section
of the parish as possible. Last year we heard from members of all Neighborhoods
and attendees from all Masses. Some respondents were first-time visitors
while others visited every day. Let your voice be heard on what you'd

NURSERY UPDATE
The Nursery/Playroom is now open every Sunday during the 9:00 AM Mass
for children ages 1-4. We are still looking for a babysitting and/or
