FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK
Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
"For Zion's sake I will not be silent."
The church has a solemn duty to give voice to the voiceless, especially
when their rights and their life are at stake.
Next Monday, January 26, Catholics from across the State of Virginia
will converge at the General Assembly in Richmond to stand in solidarity
with the poor, the vulnerable and the homeless on Catholic Advocacy
Day.
On Thursday the 22nd, our diocese joins the March for Life to speak
for the most silent among us, the pre-born. Let us pray, let us march
and let us work for a new respect for life in our laws and in our society.
Call Dan Marrin at the Parish Office for more information on these
events.

to meet up with the first group. WE WILL LEAVE RIGHT AT NOON and take
the Metro downtown. At 5 PM, we will meet in front of the Supreme Court

RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY
"Above all, the common outcry, which is justly made on behalf of
human rights-for example, the right to health, to home, to work, to
family, to culture-is false and illusory if the right to life, the most
basic and fundamental right and the condition of all other personal
rights, is not defended with maximum determination."
