FROM THE PASTOR'S DESK
In this season of Thanksgiving, I am greatful for the people and the
work of St. Charles Parish. We celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving at 9:00.
The original feast involved sharing food. As well as the eucharistic
banquet, I invite you to bring canned goods for our parish pantry and
a donation for Project Lazarus. Project Lazarus funds our emergency
assistance program, and the many requests for help with rents.
I also ask you to join me at an Inter-faith celebration at 7:00 PM
on the eve of Thanksgiving at the Synagogue on Arlington Boulevard,
Etz-Hayim.
This weekend's second Collection supports the Campaign for Human Development.
Thanks for your encouragement to these self-help projects for poor people.
Keep the First Sunday Evening of December on your calendar for a dialogue
on housing issues.
