All Saints and All Souls are special days to remember the heroes of
our faith, those revered by families. May those who have gone before
us neaver be forgotten. May they ligth our way to the Kingdom.

Breaking the Stereotypes."

MASS OF REMEMBRANCE
Each life is a gift from God. Let us remember those who have touched
our lives. Let us celebrate them together. Please join your fellow parishioners
in celebrating the lives of your deceased loved ones at Mass November
3, 2003 7:30 PM at St. Charles followed by a reception in the parish
library sponsored by the Circle of Caring.
MUSIC MINISTRY CONCERT
Free Concert-Music for the Heart & Soul Please join Monica Perz-Waddington
and the 6 PM Choir for an evening of inspirational music, including
songs from Monica's debut CD, "Truly Loved." The concert will
be given at St. Charles Borromeo Church on Saturday, November 8 at 7:30
PM. A free-will offering will be collected for Borromeo Housing, Inc.
(BHI), a transitional housing program for homeless mothers and their

MARRIAGE CIRCLE
Come for an evening of faith, fellowship, and food on Friday, November

HAITI COMMITTEE
Haiti Committee will be sponsoring an art show and Sale on Friday, December
12 in the Cafeteria. If you would like to donate artwork you have created-painting,
drawing, photography, jewelry, and textiles-or would be willing to donate
Leslie Dann at 703-924-7188 or Gail Goodridge at 703-819-9530. The proceeds
will go to renovate a rural chapel in the parish of Gros Marin, Haiti.

Cross Blood Drive-Save A Life Tour 2003 will stop by at St. Charles
Parish Parking lot. Current and new doors, we need you!!! All it'll
take you is a few minutes to help save a life. For eligibility questions

C'YA NEWS
CYA will be selling used CD's and Tapes during the sale of donuts and
coffee in the Cafeteria on Sunday, November 9th. If you are looking
for a few Christmas gifts come to this sale. This event is a great way
to get an early start on your Christmas shopping. CD's will be selling
for $5 and tapes will be selling for $3. We look forward to seeing you
there. Please come out and support us during this event, as it is our
only fundraiser of the year.
DOMINICAN RETREAT HOUSE
The Dominican Retreat House is offering two retreats for adults in November:

IN OUR PARISH
The St. Charles Parish Council will meet on Wednesday, November 5 at
7:30 PM in the Parish Library. If they cannot attend, Parish Council
members are asked to designate an alternate to participate in the session.
CELEBRATE ST. CHARLES BORROMEO FEAST DAY ONLINE

GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE
Come on all you turkeys, Thanksgiving is around the corner and it's
time to stuff Fran's turkey again. Please stop by the Cafeteria after
the 7:30, 9, and 11:00 Masses and make a contribution to help buy turkeys
and fixing to feed 20 needy families in our neighborhood. Checks should

BORROMEO HOUSING
APAH has formed a partnership with Borromeo Housing, a nonprofit organization
based out of St. Charles that helps homeless, at-risk teenage mothers
in Northern Virginia, get back on their feet by giving emotional support,
educational training, employment assistance and safe housing. Two teen-mothers
are already sharing an apartment has just become available for two more
young women and their children. For more information check out our web
