FROM THE PASTOR
As we mark the anniversary fo 9/11,
we remember all affected by that tragedy. We also remember all of the
victims of the subsequent wars and pray for a peaceful solution for
the Middle East situation.
Our youth are invited back to Way and On the Way this weekend. Next
weekend we commission our catechists and join with them in a new year
of faith sharing.

RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY
"John Paul II, continuing the constant teaching of the Church,
has reiterated many times that those who are directly involved in lawmaking
bodies have a grave and clear obligation to oppose any law that attacks
human life. For them, as for every Catholic, it is impossible to promote
such laws or to vote for them." (Doctrinal Note On Some Questions
Regarding the Participation of Catholics in Political Life).

WEB TEAM MEETS TUESDAY; PLUS
TOP WEB PAGES LAST MONTH
The next Web Team meeting is Tuesday, September 16 at 7:30 PM in the
Upper Room. Email webteam@stcharlechurch.org
or just drop by. Did you know that the most popular pages in August
were the homepage and the celebrant's
schedule, as usual, followed by RCIA
(for converts) which jumped to #3 ahead of the young
adults C'YA calendar at #4. Summer vacation pushed the parish
overview and map/directions pages to #5
and #6. The top ministries in August were RCIA, C'YA and Social
Justice. And the most read homily for the second straight month
was Fr. Creedon's recap
of his 35 years of service. We also have the results from our online
poll based on a topic brought up in a homily. When asked whether
you recognize a female aspect of God when you pray, 60% of respondents
said "No," while 15% said "sometimes" and 25% replied "usually or always."
