Dear St. Charles Parishioners:
On this July 4th weekend, St. Charles takes a leaf from the motto of
the USA, E PlUIBUS UNUM. The spirit of America and the spirit of St.
Charles take the differences of culture and tradition that in other
parts of the world lead to tension and conflict and create from them
a harmony of beauty and solidarity.
Nowhere is this motto more evident than in
our school. The variety of background that our students enjoy enriches
their learning. In the daily experience of study and play they from
a community that allows them to live their theme: FEEL THE SPIRIT.
I urge families who have not made decisions yet about their children's
education for next year to call the School Office (703) 527-0608. WE
STILL HAVE SPACES FOR YOUR CHILD! Happy Fourth of July Weekend!

PLEASE NOTE: all bulletin announcement requests MUST be submitted to
the Parish Office by Noon on Wednesday, July 2nd to insure inclusion

back into the school. If you'd like to help a kid, e-mail Dan at office@stcharleschurch.org,
or pick up a form at the Parish Office. Call 703-522-1373 for more information
on this and other AACH programs. God bless!
RESPECT LIFE MINISTRY

John Paul II)

IN OUR PARISH
MINISTRIES FAIR NEEDS YOUR HELP!
The parish is looking for volunteers to help with the parish's annual
"Ministries Fair," which will be held after all Masses on
the weekend of September 27-28 in the School Cafeteria. The Fair showcases
our parish's many ministries and activities. Some of the specific tasks
related to this volunteer opportunity include: set-up/clean-up, publicity
(flyers, helping with "Best Booth" poll/contest at the fair),
on-site assistance (checking with ministry representatives at the Fair
after each Mass to find out how many volunteers signed up), etc. A planning
meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at 7:30 PM in the Parish Library.
For more information, call Patricia Buckley, Volunteer and Fair Coordinator,
at 703-522-2036 (email: volunteers@stcharleschurch.org)
or Carolyn Gretzinger, Parish Council President, at 703-243-5653 (email:
council@stcharleschurch.org).
