Dear St. Charles Parishioners:
Alleluia! Christ is Risen! Easter proclaims the message that life conquers
death! There is hope. Let us pray that the characteristic greeting of
the Risen Lord, "Peace," will signal a new willingness to
forgo the paths of violence and war to remedy injustice. For Iraq and
all the places of destruction, we pray for a new beginning of freedom
and a restoration of order and the provision of basic rights and needs.
Jesus presented his death as a passover liberation. Let Easter bring
redemption to our families and to the larger human family.
With the flowers of spring, our parish is showing the signs of new
life, as our Parish Center sprouts up quickly. As well as our builders
and construction crew, I thank all of you who offer your support to
the Capital Campaign that completes this effort, especially "Rooted
in Faith~Forward in Hope."
There is a price for freedom and new life
generosity. Thanks
for your sacrifice to the future of our church and its message of peace
and hope!
