St. Charles Bulletin for December 30, 2001

Holy Family

from the pastor...

Dear St. Charles Parishioners,

"Let the peace of Christ control your hearts."

The flight into Egypt takes on fresh significance in the light of the plight of
refugees and immigrants today. The dislocation of millions of families is a
painful "collateral damage" that accompanies war and violence. Here at home
our Latin American Immigrants are experiencing special challenges as they and
other immigrant's bare special burdens in a time of insecurity.

Let us pray for peace, let us work for peace, and let us win a lasting peace
by our efforts to do justice.

Peace, Paz, Shalom, Salaam,
Rev. Gerry Creedon

Thank you all for your generous donations! St. Charles is short on space

to the Arlington Goodwill, 10 South Glebe Road, intersection of 50 and Glebe,
and bring us your donation receipt. The receipt is then turned into vouchers for
OAR (Offender Aid and Restoration of Arlington County) clients. They use the
