Parish Sunday Bulletins

St. Charles Bulletin for December 16, 2001

3rd Sunday of Advent

Flier for parish Christmas Party

from the pastor...FROM OUR PASTOR

Dear St. Charles Parishioners,

"He will prepare your way before you". We need not reduce Advent to
Christmas preparations. Gift buying, gift giving, tithing, charity,
decorations, food and drink are all external signs of a feast that finds
its reason in the heart. Let us prepare our hearts. There Christ wants
to dwell in attitudes of peace and reconciliation.

There is no better rite than the sacrament of reconciliation (includes
confession) for the searching and renewal of the heart. I have invited
many priests to join us to offer the peace of the good shepherd. I
welcome you. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be celebrated on
Monday at 7:30 PM in the Church.

Prepare ye the way of the Lord!

Fr. Gerry Creedon

Thanks for your support of Catholic Charities. Thanks too for
remembering St. Charles, especially our Parish Community Center,
in your Christmas giving.

CHURCH SEATING AT CHRISTMAS MASSES
Parishioners and visitors attending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
Masses are kindly requested to refrain from saving seats for family
and friends. Parish ushers will be assisting attendees to find seats
as they enter the church and will be making use of all available seats.
Your efforts in keeping with the peace and spirit of this joyous Christmas
season by cooperating with this request are appreciated.

MARRIAGE CIRCLE
Start your year with a special night out. The St. Charles' Marriage Circle
is off to a great start and we invite you to join us Friday, January 4 at
7:30 PM in the Upper Room. Babysitters will be provided. RSVP to Marc and
Lisa Michaels at 703-237-1895.

WANT TO ATTEND MASS ON SUNDAY EVENING?
