St. Charles Bulletin for November
25, 2001
Christ the King
FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners:
"Let us give thanks to the Father". These words from the second
reading untie the feasts of Thanksgiving and Christ the King. In the Fall
we celebrate the end of the liturgical year with appreciation for the
fruits of creation and recognition that in all of our work finds its purpose
the establishment of God's Reign. Let the spirit of thanksgiving remain
with us in the coming weeks of Advent. I give thanks always for the opportunity
to serve with you in the many ministries that flourish at St. Charles.
On Monday evening the 3rd of December I will lead a presentation on "Everything
you wanted to know about Confession and were afraid to ask!" It will
be a chance to reconsider sin, forgiveness, the role of law and conscience
and the changing rites of peace.
Merci, Gracias, Thanks,
